In Year 6 we are working hard on re-drafting our writing. We are focusing on quality over quantity and learning to redraft and make improvements. Some of us have found this tricky but we are getting better at being self-critical and working hard to improve aspects of our writing that will make it much more interesting for the reader. Having authors in to visit really helps us to understand that successful writers edit and redraft several times.

What a difference our editing is making to our writing! The children have been great at using their purple pen to make their changes and are now behaving like real authors.
