Knowsley Safari Park Trip.

Class: Old Foundation Stage Year: 2014 - 2015

Today, 2nd March, Reception went on a trip to the safari park at Knowsley. It was a fantastic day out, even with a few snow showers. The children saw lots of animals including tigers, lions, deer, camels, elephants and rhinos. The day started with a workshop looking at big animals such as elephants and lions and also handling millipedes, African Land Snails and stick insects. Very exciting. We then walked to see the meerkats, elephants and giraffes in their enclosures before investigating the bug house and bat cave.

In the afternoon we watched a sealion show and birds of prey display, which we thouroughly enjoyed. Finally, the action packed day ended in the safari drive with the guide, Ellie, explaining all about the animals we were seeing.

It was a fabulous day out for everyone, we couldn't wait to get back to tell our friends and family all about it.
