Fun with fractions

Class: Year 2 Year: 2016 - 2017

The children have enjoyed learning about fractions this week.  They have been learning in practical ways to really help them to fully understand what a fraction is and what the numerator and denominator show.  They have folded different shapes into halves and quarters, sorted a variety of shapes into groups depending on the fraction that was shaded and also used different shaped paper pizza bases to make their own pizzas.  The children are very keen to learn about fractions using real pizza - watch this space!
