Following on from our shape hunt and the fact that quite a few children were making magnetic and playdough shape pizzas, we decided to make the real thing. At each stage, the children explored the concepts of 2d shapes and how these can change by cutting and slicing them. We also looked at estimating the amount of toppings required. Finally, we discovered how a pizza can go from one whole to a few crumbs within minutes!
