Dissolving and testing

Class: Year 5 Year: 2016 - 2017

Year 5 have been investigating solutes and solutions today.  We split into four groups and each took a different challnge; group 1 tried boiling water and stirring, group 2 looked at boiling water without stirring, group 3 looked at room temperature water and stirring and group 4 looked at room temperature water and not stirring.

Each child in the group had a different role such as measurer, recorder, stirrer, timer, and one person to conclude the amount that had dissolved if any.

We had a variety of ingredients to choose from and collated our results in a table.  We will discuss tomorrow which method was the most effective and why?
