As the year comes to an end

🌟 Summer Term Highlights at Garswood Primary

This term has been packed with exciting learning opportunities, memorable experiences, and proud moments that truly reflect the vibrant life of our school.

🏃‍♂️ Sports Day was a joyful celebration of teamwork and determination, with pupils giving their all in races, relays, and field events. The support from families made the day even more special.

🎓 Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly, Prom and Play The assembly was a touching farewell, filled with music, memories, and reflections. Our pupils left us with pride, ready for their next adventure. They danced he night away at their prom and impressed us all with their superb performance 'Rock Bottom'

🌿 Educational Visits brought learning to life across the school:

  • EYFS enjoyed a return trip to the Farm, looking closely at how the seasons have changed the environment and this time picking some strawberries rather than the pumpkins they collected last time!
  • Year 1 explored Blackpool Zoo, linking beautifully with their learning about animals and habitats.
  • Year 2 completed their Strandline Geography investigations at Formby Beach and had some fun playing in the sand.
  • Year 3 challenged themselves on a very physical trip to the Chill Factore! They also reflected on some of their learning in art and design in the local museum.
  • Year 4 visited Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and a Gurdwara, engaging in exciting experiments and STEM challenges and bringing their RE curriculum to life.
  • Year 5 had completed their visit to Jodrell Bank as part of their science topic on Earth and Space
  • Year 6 had their residential to London deepening their understanding of the country and its heritage and exploring how entertainment has evolved over time  - from the Globe Theatre, to the West End and finishing off at the Warner Bros Studio Tour The Making of Harry Potter

🎭 Performances and Presentations gave pupils the chance to shine. From the delightful EYFS Graduation to class assemblies and musical showcases, children demonstrated confidence, creativity, and pride.

🌈 Celebration Assemblies recognised not just academic progress but kindness, resilience, and personal growth. Every child had something to be proud of.

We’re incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff, supportive families, and brilliant pupils for making this term so special. Garswood continues to be a place where children thrive, grow, and feel valued.

Here’s to a restful summer and an exciting year ahead!
