Y6 prepare for the bake-off! We 'kneed' to 'rise' to the challenge. We're on a 'roll'!

Class: Year 6 Year: 2015 - 2016

Year six have spent the afternoon preparing for the school bake off event on Friday. The children worked out how much of a standard recipe they needed, incorporating those important maths skills.

They then set to, measuring, weighing, stirring and kneeding away to create our very own bread. The children learnt how yeast needs heat to activate and then were amazed at how their creations grew during the proving process.

They also worked fantastically in groups, taking turns, sharing the responsibility. A fun afternoon
