Welcome to the Stone Age

Lesson: History

Year 3 had a fantastic day at Southport Eco Centre learning about the Stone Age ready for our History learning this term. We started off our day with a brief introduction to this exciting historic period then we split up into three different groups and went off to complete a round robin of activities. We each took part in computer based research, a board game based on prehistoric facts and an archaeological dig to find prehistoric footprints. After lunch we then created photostories about the facts we had learned. To complete the day we all took part in a quiz to find how much we had learned. We had a fantastic day and learned a lot. We are very excited to see what this term has in store for us as we learn more about the Stone Age.
