Jubilee Celebrations

Lesson: History

Class: Year 1 Year: 2021 - 2022

This week, we have celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The children have made flags for our whole school 'River of Hope' display. This  shows our hopes and dreams for the world for the next 70 years. 

The whole school made a timeline of the Queen's reign. Year 1 focussed on the decade 2002-2012 and we even dressed up in clothes from this era. 

We had a street party in the playground.

We wrote letters to the Queen.

During our PSHE lessons, we were learning about money and we made a list of our wants and needs for our Jubilee celebrations. 

We planted a tree to commemorate the occassion too.
