Afternoon tea

Lesson: British Values

Class: Reception Year: 2016 - 2017

In Reception we have been reading 'The Queen's Knickers' by Nicholas Allan. We designed some knickers for her majesty and learned about the role of Queen Elizabeth in Britain. We then enjoyed lots of cross curricular learning in our preparation for afternoon tea this week. We made napkin rings, a Victoria Sponge cake and shared a song with the grown ups in the hall. We have been learning about beat, tempo and turn taking in our expressive arts and design lessons. We have been using our counting and problem solving skills in cooking. Lots of physical development skills used to make the napkin rings. Well done Reception. The cake was fit for Queen Elizabeth.
