End of term

As we come to the end of another busy term - we do it in style!

What an amazing day - so busy but great to celebrate the amazing achievements.

The day began with year 4/5 class assembly. What a wonderful display of knowledge - conveyed in such an interesting and exciting way. The children have clearly learned enormous amounts in their science topic on space. Thanks Mr Yearsley for putting together a super assembly and to the parents for coming along to support the children.

Later in the day, we took time to recognise the children who have consistently impressed us with their citizenship qualities this half term. As always - a difficult decision for staff - the children at Garswood are amazing.

We also celebrated our House cup winners for this half term - well done to the Chestnuts who take the cup for the second time in a row.

We ended the day with the School Council's very own 'Garswood's Got Talent' - and I couldn't agree more - they certainly have. It amazes and delights me that the children feel so confident and secure that they can stand up and perform in front of their peers. We had comedy, singing, music, dance, karate, skipping skills, and even some drama. Some of the jokes still have me chuckling now! Thanks Mrs Baker for scaffolding the children as they pulled it all together.

A great end to a super term. I'm already looking forward to the next one! See you all on 19th April 2016. Have a lovely Spring break.
