End of term

As the term due to a close we celebrated in style - and we also took time to reflect on all we have achieved this year and how important our friends and family are to us.

We welcomed a special visitor to the school who joined us to sing to our families and to the community of Garswood. We were delighted to welcome Kiera Weathers, recent star of the X Factor and a St Helens local girl! Grace (Y5) wrote to her and requested I contacted her on Twitter and ask her visit the school. Kindly, Kiera responded to the request and Grace was delighted to be welcome her and be presented with a special signed t-shirt from the star herself.

Our children were really interested to learn more about Kiera and subjected her to an intense Q & A. They were very impressed with her answers. Kiera was inspirational and really showed how important it is to be determined, work hard and be persistent and resilient.
