Charity activities

I'm so proud of the classes at Garswood working so hard to raise awareness as well as raising much needed funds for very worthy causes. As part of our Year of Kindness, each of the classes selected a charity that they wanted to find out more about. These have included Derian House Hospice, the Dementia Cafe and Alzheimer's Society, Teardrops Homeless Charity, Age UK, Plastic Oceans, Water Aid and a charity close to our hearts, the Zac Barston Tribute Fund at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

The children have completed litter picks, food collections, awareness raising activities, singing and entertaining at the Dementia Cafe - alongside fundraising to make donations.

Thank you for our community for their support in getting behind the children. What an amazing way to teach our children about the difference that they can made to the lives of others.
