Y4 cookery

Lesson: Design and technology

Class: Year 4 Year: 2019 - 2020

Y4 made delicious feta and spinach parcels during European Day of Languages. As part of Y4 DT objectives, the children discussed hygiene and presentation before beginning their cooking. They found out about Greek cuisine and worked in groups to cut pastry, chop garlic and onions and carefully mix the ingredients together.  They filled the pastry and used a fork to decorate the edges and press them down.  After 15 minutes in the oven, the parcels were a lovely golden colour.  The children decided to present them on silver trays.  The majority of children agreed they were delicious.
