World Maths Day

Children had a fantastic time this morning celebrating World Maths Day.  Taking part in a whole school Countdown assembly in which the house captains picked members for their teams from across the school - lots of calculating and collaborating went on and some magnificent maths shined through.  It was a close run thing but the Sumtastic Sycamores calculated their way to winning 100 points for their team, Chestnut and Elder were joint second with 50 points each and Rowan earned a very well fought 25 points.

The fun doesn't end there though, the children then went on to compete against other children from across the world. We celebrated the top point winners for participation and for points scored with certificates and maths sets as prizes. Well done to the winners and excellent effort for all of those who took part.
